Louisville Housing Market Reports for August 2010

Certain areas saw home values increase but almost all saw a decrease in homes sold except for Areas 2 & 9. There may be some make-up activity in September but expect things to continue in this manner until consumer confidence rebounds.

Monthly Reports
- Area 2: Butchertown/Highlands/Germantown
Sales inch higher than ’09 as values drop in August. - Area 3: Clifton/Crescent Hill/St. Matthews
Transactions continue to drop as home prices also trend downward. - Area 6: Buechel/Highview/Okolona/Fern Creek
Both home prices and sales continue their slide in this area. - Area 7: Jeffersontown/Fern Creek/Hikes Point
Home values inch upwards as sale numbers are flat. - Area 8: Middletown/Hurstbourne/Douglass Hills/Anchorage
Prices above trend line for second month but sales are down. - Area 9: Prospect/Anchorage/Glenview/Lyndon
Both values and sales are up in this area over previous year. - Area 20: Oldham County N-I71
Sales up over July but trail previous year. Prices continue to bounce. - Area 21: Oldham County S-I71
Values drop as transactions continue to live below last year’s numbers.
